  • seeing good old college friend and showing them my neighborhood

  • enjoying quiet winter snow days with parents

  • visiting the office for the first time and meeting with coworkers

  • getting dinner with friends and cherishing time spent with them

  • visiting K in Atlanta. going to the estate sale for the first time and checking out Coca-Cola museum, eating shrimp & grits and drinking a lot of win

  • making voodoo dolls

  • singing my favorite songs at Vampire Weekend show

  • re-discovering love for Ichiran ramen

  • coming to old job’s conference and seeing many familiar faces

  • coming to John Early’s talk

  • voting (!)

  • exploring breakfast spots in the neighborhood

  • rooting for marathoners

  • celebrating A’s citizenship with a lot of sangria and giggles

  • doing morning exercises

  • dedicating time to figuring out health things

  • enjoying Biscuit’s company every day

  • rediscovering love for taking pictures

  • mentally feeling much better compared to 8 - 10 months ago


Requiem for Summer'24

  • going through loss

    • There is nothing like sounds of a mother crying after losing her child. There is nothing like the sound of silent grief of people losing their friend. The pain is excruciating and dull at the same time. There is no explanation and nothing that can make it hurt less.

  • organizing a surprise for my Dad’s birthday and hanging out with little nephews and niece

  • visiting Chicago for the first time

    • meeting a lot of new people

    • going to Cubs game

    • seeing 2 towers that look like Minsk "Kukuruza” towers

    • singing along to “Bring me to life” by Evanescence

    • finally seeing Nitehawks by Hopper

  • keeping in touch with friends and colleagues

  • giving a tour of Williamsburg to a couple of good old friends

  • making another miniature

  • watching Ernie

  • going to Rockaway for breakfast

  • celebrating C. birthday

  • dining at Peter Luger for the first time
